DISPOSITION: L&A sells 3.95 acres for new cold storage facility in Aurora, IL. Lee & Associates had brokered the sale of 2290 White Oak Circle in Aurora, Illinois. The buyer plans to build a 50,000 to 60,000 SF spec cold storage facility on the site. An L&A deal team led by Nick Eboli and Andrew Block represented the seller. George Cibula with DarwinPW Realty represented the buyer.
DISPOSITION: CBRE sells warehouse with cold storage in Cudahy, WI. CBRE has facilitated the sale of 3275 East Layton Avenue in Cudahy, Wisconsin. The property features a 41,120 SF food-grade facility with a 45’ cooler and 5 blast freezers. The CBRE deal team included Mike Kolb, Scott Furmanski, and Karl Wiedenman.
DISPOSITION: Colliers brokers $47M sale of cold storage facility in Dallas, TX. Colliers has arranged the sale of a 176,960 SF industrial commissary and cold storage facility in Dallas that is currently leased to Papa Johns. Christian Rahe, Joseph Wiles, Michael Brewster, and Daniel Taylor with Colliers represented the undisclosed seller. The buyer was a group of investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management. The sale also included a second Papa John’s cold storage property in Orlando, Florida.
DEVELOPMENT: Chill Dev. developing freezer/cooler facility in Plainfield, IL. Construction is underway at 25815 West 143rd Street in Plainfield, Illinois. Chill Development is building a speculative freezer/cooler facility with 389,880 divisible SF and 50’ clear height. The warehouse will be 100% freezer-capable, demisable down to 90,000 SF. The temperature for the building will range from -10F to +70F in various zones. The leasing team is led by Steve Livaditis and Kevin Kelly.
DEVELOPMENT: New cold storage facility planned for US/Mexico Border. According to VP Robert Vale, the Starr-Camargo Bridge Co. plans to build a cold storage facility at its international bridge near Rio Grande City, Texas. The planned facility would be part of an expansion project that also includes a second bridge span.
