DISPOSITION: Newmark sells Upper Midwest cold storage portfolio for $64.2M. Newmark has facilitated the sale-leaseback of a portfolio of 4 cold storage facilities in Illinois and Minnesota. The portfolio totals 271,500 SF. Briggs Goldberg, Andrew Sandquist, JC Asensio, Nicholas Baker, Kurt Weis, and Sean McNeely led the Newmark deal team.

LEASE SIGNED: Stream Realty Partners leases cold storage in Medley, FL. Stream Realty Partners has facilitated a long-term lease renewal for 102,018 SF at 11001 Northwest 124th Street in Medley, Florida. The property is part of the Pan Am Business Park and is leased to Freedom Fresh. Steve Medwin and Nick Wigoda with Stream represented the landlord, Ares Management, in the transaction. The Ares Management deal team was led by Alisia Kemper.

LEASE SIGNED: M&M Quality Solutions leases cold storage in Kansas City, MO. M&M Quality Solutions has leased an 18,757 SF cold storage facility at 9000 Northeast Underground Drive, Pillar 112 in Kansas City, Missouri. The facility is part of Hunt Midwest’s SubTropolis, the world’s largest underground business complex. The M&M deal team was led by Brian McMaster. Ryan Tompkins led the Hunt Midwest leasing team.

GRAND OPENING: Van Eerden opens $51M distribution center in Fort Wayne, IN. Van Eerden Foodservice has opened a new distribution center at 8252 Smith Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The property features a 181,000 SF building with frozen, refrigerated, and room temperature food storage space, as well as a 26-door refrigerated dock. Tippman Group constructed the facility. Daniel Van Eerden leads the Van Eerden team.

PEOPLE MOVES: Congebec names new Chief Commercial Officer. Following its merger with Bradner Cold Storage earlier in 2025, Congebec has named Tim Ludwig as its new Chief Commercial Officer. Tim was the founder of Bradner and has more than 25 years of experience in the food processing and logistics industry.
