NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: Lineage acquires cold storage warehouse in Kansas City, KS. Lineage has acquired the assets of ColdPoint Logistics, including a 621,000 SF cold storage warehouse with 62,000 pallet positions. The facility, which is located at 31301 West 181st Street in Edgerton, Kansas, offers direct access to major US ports thanks to an on-site rail connection. Greg Lehmkuhl leads the Lineage team, while ColdPoint is led by Aaron Burks.

ACQUISITION: IPRG sells cold storage facility in Paterson, NJ for $3.9M. IPRG represented both parties in the sale of 517-529 East 34th Street in Paterson, New Jersey. The 3 building property totals 25,660 SF, including more than 8,000 SF of refrigerated space. The seller was Lotito Foods, and the buyer was a private investor. The IPRG deal team was led by Yanni Marmarou and Homer De Leon.

DEVELOPMENT: Agile builds $45.9M cold storage facility in New Orleans area. Agile Cold Storage is currently building a 121,000 SF cold storage warehouse at 63076 Highway 1091 in Pearl River, Louisiana. Once completed, the facility will be able to export as many as 100 containers per week through the Port of New Orleans. Operations are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025. Ti Cold, led by Sam Tippmann, is building the facility. The Agile team is led by Don Schoenl.

Venture One builds Long Island cold storage

DEVELOPMENT: Venture One JV to build cold storage in Long Island. Venture One is building a cold storage facility at 2100 Smithtown Avenue in Ronkonkoma, New York. The project is being completed through a joint venture (JV) with BGO Cold Chain. The facility will total 137,470 SF when completed. Venture One is led by Mark Goode and Roy Splansky.

DEVELOPMENT: Saxum breaks ground on Arcadia cold storage in Chicagoland. Saxum RE and partner Black Salmon have broken ground on a cold storage warehouse at the intersection of Millsdale Road and Route 53 in Joliet, Illinois. The 294,840 SF facility will be tenanted by Arcadia Cold. Marc Duval, Ed Halaburt, and Wells Waller with JLL helped secure JV equity. Saxum is led by Sean Gilbert, while the Black Salmon deal team includes Stephen Evans.
