NEWS ROUNDUP

DISPOSITION: JLL sells cold storage facility in Chicagoland for $12.65M. JLL has facilitated the sale of 601 Wall Street in Glendale Heights, Illinois. The property features a 67,000 cold storage facility that is currently 100% leased to KeHE Distributors. The buyer was Venture One Real Estate. John Huguenard and Trent Agnew with JLL represented the seller, LBA Logistics, in the transaction.

DISPOSITION: Rich Young Co. sells cold storage facility in Dallas. Rich Young Co. has facilitated the sale of 1811 South Harwood Street in Dallas, Texas. The property features a 20,800 SF cold storage warehouse with office space. Brad Werner and Trevor Hunt with Rich Young Co. facilitated the off-market transaction.

GRAND OPENING: FORUM CRE opens cold storage facility in Laredo, TX. FORUM Commercial Real Estate has celebrated the grand opening of 10228 Crossroads Loop in Laredo, Texas. The property features 61,218 SF of temperature-controlled space and is managed by Merlin Management Co. on behalf of the landlord, Northwind Development Ltd. FORUM CRE also completed the lease of the facility to Kotick Cold JV LLC. Carlo Molano Longoria led the FORUM deal team.

DEVELOPMENT: Lineage adds $150M expansion to facility in Hobart, IN. Linage has added 188,000 SF with roughly 58,000 pallet positions to its cold storage facility at 2201 Northwind Parkway in Hobart, Indiana. With the expansion, the facility will be one of the largest in the US, with more than 100,000 pallet positions and 76 dock doors. The Lineage development team included Jim Thompson and Greg Bryan.
DEVELOPMENT: Publix plans $180M of Jacksonville, FL cold storage projects. Publix Super Markets Inc. has submitted plans for 2 additions totaling 41,205 SF at its distribution center located at 9800 West Beaver Street in Jacksonville, Florida. According to the plans, the project will cost $35M. With the additions, the location will feature a 443,534 SF freezer warehouse. In addition, Publix is also building a 370,000 SF freezer facility on 42.4 acres at 10132 General Avenue in Jacksonville at a projected cost of $145M.
