NEWS ROUNDUP

EXPANSION: Cold-Link to expand, upgrade facility in Providence, RI, area. Cold-Link Logistics has announced its plans to upgrade and expand its tri-temperature cold storage facility located at 1 All American Way in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The expansion will add 65,000 SF, tripling the current facility’s freezer capacity. Completion is expected by early 2027. The Cold-Link leadership team includes Michael Mandich and Nick Mandich.

EXPANSION: NewCold expands Atlanta area cold storage facility. NewCold is expanding its cold storage campus at 1842 GA-42 in McDonough, Georgia, with a fully automated frozen facility. The expansion, which NewCold expects to finish this summer, will add 125,000 pallet positions. Mike Shawgo leads the NewCold team.

DISPOSITION: Black Diamond Realty sells cold Storage in Bloomsburg, PA. Black Diamond Realty has facilitated the sale of 14 Edwards Drive in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The property features a 5,400 SF industrial building with freezer and cold storage. Kim Licciardi with Black Diamond represented the seller in the transaction.

LEASE SIGNED: Colliers leases cold storage in Washington, DC, area. The Colliers Maryland Industrial Team has facilitated the leasing of 9001 East Hampton Drive in Capitol Heights, Maryland, to a single tenant. Brian Watts, Jason Sullivan, Brian Siegel, Tom Gentner, and Melissa Parrish with Colliers represented the landlord, High Street Logistics Properties LLC, in the transaction. The High Street Logistics deal team was led by Laura Larson.

GROUND BREAKING: SCB Construction starts building cold storage in Atlanta metro area. SCB Construction has begun building a USDA-certified cold chain and processing facility for Frontier Meats in Covington, Georgia. The project is expected to be completed in Q2 of 2026. The SCB Construction team includes Cole Inman and Bryan Young.

GROUND BREAKING: Alaska Cargo and Cold Storage builds cold storage at airport. After a 6-year delay, Alaska Cargo and Cold Storage has begun construction of a 100,000 SF cold chain campus at Ted Stevens Anchorage Intl. Airport. The company plans to eventually expand the facility to 700,000 SF.
