DISPOSITION: Hype Group sells cold storage in Miami, FL for $48.29M. The Hype Real Estate Group has facilited the sale of 2950 Northwest 75th Street in Miami, Florida, to Envision Cold. The property features a 187,122 SF cold storage warehouse. Pablo Vignolo and Raul Pino with The Hype Real Estate Group represented both the buyer and the seller in the transaction.

LEASE SIGNED: OnPace/CushWake lease cold storage facility in Charlotte area. OnPace Partners and co-listing partner Cushman & Wakefield have facilitated the leasing of 82,107 SF at 3621 Lazy Hawk Road in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The facility features a speculative cold storage development by Karis Cold. Turner Wisehart with OnPace Partners, along with Matt Treble and Fermin Deoca with Cushman & Wakefield, represented the landlord in the transaction. Kelvin Day and Michael Catanese with Park Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant, Hissho Sushi.

OPENING: Chill Development opens cold storage facility in Chicago area. Barber Partners LLC’s Chill Development has completed its latest freezer/cooler facility at 25815 West 143rd Street in Plainfield, Illinois. The Class A warehouse totals 392,613 SF and features 50’ clear heights. Patrick Barber and Nicholas Barber lead the Chill Development team. Steven Livaditis with CBRE is currently marketing the property for lease.

OPENING: Agile Cold Storage and Ti Cold open facility in New Orleans area. Agile Cold Storage has opened a new cold storage warehouse at 39200 Pearl Parkway in Pearl River, Louisiana. The facility, which was designed and built by Ti Cold, features 121,000 SF with storage for up to 19,500 pallets. Don Schoenl leads the Agile Cold Storage team, while Josh Tippmann, Rob Adams, and Sam Tippmann helm Ti Cold.

DEVELOPMENT: NewCold to open $275M facility in Hagerstown, MD. NewCold plans to open a new cold storage facility at 45 West Oak Ridge Drive in Hagerstown, Maryland. The location, which offers easy access to Baltimore and Washington, D.C., will employ NewCold’s state-of-the-art proprietary technology, including automated storage and retrieval. Bram Hage leads the New Cold team.

GROUNDBREAKING: Americold breaks ground on first hub in Canada. Americold has begun construction on a new cold storage facility in Port Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. When completed, the warehouse will provide up to 22,000 pallet positions. The facility, in which Americold plans to invest up to $80M, will be served through partnerships with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) and DP World. The Americold project team is led by George Chappelle and Rob Chambers. The facility is expected to open in 2026.
