ACQUISITION: JLL brokers $223M sale of Inland Empire cold storage to Walmart. JLL has represented Walmart Realty in its acquisition of 1001 Columbia Avenue in Riverside, California. The retail giant had been leasing the 507,000 SF cold storage facility since 2010. Scott Coyle, Peter McWilliams, and Tim O’Rourke with JLL, along with Walmart’s Jomar Benoit, represented Walmart in the acquisition. Eastdil Secured represented the seller, State Street Corp.

ACQUISITION: RealCold buys SCl Cold Chain, expands into pharma logistics market. RealCold has acquired SCL Cold Chain, a CEIV-certified provider specializing in pharmaceutical and temperature-controlled logistics. The deal expands RealCold into pharma cold-chain services, adding regulatory expertise and FDA-registered facilities to its 61M SF network. SCL will retain its brand while leveraging RealCold’s national platform to grow. RealCold is led by Keith Goldsmith and Marty Steinmetz, while Bryan Severin, Steve Vondra, and Steve Johnston lead the SCL Cold Chain team.

LEASE SIGNED: Colliers leases cold storage facility in Toronto metro area. Colliers has facilitated the leasing of 331,583 SF at 8945 Torbram Road in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Colin Alves and Tanner Witton with Colliers represented the tenant in the transaction.

LEASE SIGNED: SRS Industrial leases Miami cold storage expansion. SRS Industrial has facilitated an 86,000 SF lease expansion at 3360 Northwest 67th Avenue in Miami, Florida. Andrew Lehrer, Wayne Schuchts, and Jarrett Hillman with SRS Industrial represented the tenant, a floral company that now occupies more than 250,000 SF of cold storage space at the South Florida Logistics Center. Carlos Velasquez with VSRE represented the landlord in the transaction.

GRAND OPENING: Robinson Fresh opens $33M cold storage facility in South Texas. Robinson Fresh has opened a brand-new cold storage facility at 1500 East Las Milpas Road in Pharr, Texas. The facility totals 142,000 SF and is located just minutes from the Pharr-Reynosa Intl. Bridge.
