ACQUISITION: Vertical Cold Storage buys cold storage facility in Dothan, AL. Vertical Cold Storage has acquired 980 Murray Road in Dothan, Alabama. The property features a rail-served cold storage facility and is Vertical Cold’s 2nd Dothan location. The seller was Dothan Warehouse. The Vertical Cold deal team included Jim Henderson. Turner Jones led the Dothan Warehouse deal team.

DISPOSITION: Caton Commercial sells cold storage asset in Chicago area. Caton Commercial Real Estate Group has facilitated the sale of 1014 Bonaventure Drive in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The property features a 1,500 SF cold storage facility. Matthew Maul and Hanna Bierman led the Caton Commercial deal team in the transaction.

GRAND OPENING: Target opens $367M food distribution center in Denver area. Target has opened its largest food distribution center in the US at 15450 Washington Street in Thornton, Colorado. The property features a 529,000 SF facility on a 96 AC site. The retail giant bought the property for $231M in 2025 and has invested $367M into upgrades

DEVELOPMENT: Port of Tacoma approves ground lease for Saxum cold storage facility. The Port of Tacoma Commission has approved a 50-year ground lease with Saxum Investment Co. for a cold storage facility on 30 AC between Taylor Way and Alexander Avenue in Tacoma, Washington. Saxum plans to spend up to $250M on the project. The Saxum deal team included Matthew Wassel.
