ACQUISITION: Southwest Traders buys Inland Empire facility for $40.5M, plans $25M cold storage conversion. Southwest Traders has acquired 33520 Zeiders Road in Menifee, California. The property features a 229,934 SF industrial facility that the company plans to retrofit into a state-of-the-art refrigerated distribution center. Rick Nunez, Mateo Mobilia, and Michael Romero represented Southwest Traders in the transaction. Terry Walsh led the Southwest Traders deal team.

DISPOSITION: The Barry Co. sells cold storage in Milwaukee metro area. The Barry Co. has facilitated the sale of 6125 West Burnham Street in West Allis, Wisconsin. The property features 11,000 SF of industrial buildings including cold storage. David Barry represented the seller in the transaction.

GRAND OPENING: Americold opens cold storage facility in Port Saint John, NB. Americold has celebrated the grand opening of an import-export hub at Port Saint John in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The project features 22,000 pallet positions and was developed along with Canadian Pacific Kansas City and DP World. Rob Chambers leads the Americold team.

GROUNDBREAKING: Boomerang breaks ground on cold storage in San Antonio area. Along with JV partner Marble Capital, Boomerang Industrial has begun construction on a speculative cold storage warehouse at 22218 FM 2252 in Schertz, Texas. When complete (expected delivery in winter 2027), the project will total 325,274 SF on 25 AC. The Boomerang team includes Beau Bellow, while Adam Allen leads the Marble Capital team. Tim O’Rourke, Kevin Griffiths, Sage Rheinschild, Alcide Longoria, and Mark Krenger with JLL are marketing the property for lease.
