ACQUISITION: Driscoll Foods buys cold storage facility in Upstate NY for $43M. Driscoll Foods has acquired 1 Van Bergen Street in West Coxsackie, New York. The property features a 333,386 SF tri-temperature cold storage facility on 30.7 AC. The seller was Winstanley Enterprises. James Panczykowski with JLL facilitated the transaction.

DISPOSITION: JLL sells cold storage facility on Long Island, NY. JLL has facilitated the sale of 1800 Motor Parkway in Islandia, New York. The property features a 55,000 SF cold storage facility on 4.06 AC. The buyer, Hummus Fit, intends to invest at least $19M on both the acquisition and the development of a manufacturing, packing, and distribution facility. Max Omstrom with JLL represented the seller in the transaction, while Matt Balzano with Schacker Realty represented Hummus Fit. Michael Kid with M&T Bank assisted with financing, and Andrew Presberg with Presberg Law acted as counsel.

LEASE SIGNED: CBRE leases cold storage in Taunton, MA. CBRE has facilitated the leasing of 107,055 SF at 530 John Hancock Road in Taunton, Massachusetts. The space includes a cold storage room. The new tenant is SEKO Logistics’ Downeast Global Logistics, led by Patrick Wyndham. Robert Byrne, Danielle Frisch, Chris Mullen, Steven Clancy, and Kendall Lynch with CBRE represented the landlord, Davis.

INVESTMENT: UPS will spend $48M to upgrade global cold storage facilities. UPS has announced that it plans to invest $48M into 27 existing cold storage facilities as demand for temperature-sensitive drugs like GLP-1s rises.
