GROUND BREAKING: ADUSA begins $860M distribution center with cold storage in Burlington, NC. Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA) has broken ground on a distribution center along NC-61 in Burlington, North Carolina. When completed, the project will feature more than 1M SF of fresh and frozen space. Ahold Delhaize USA is the parent company of supermarket chain Food Lion. The ADUSA team includes JJ Fleeman and Sanja Krajnovic.

ACQUISITION: Colliers sells tri-temp facility in Indianapolis metro area. Colliers has facilitated the sale of 5000 Anson Boulevard in Whitestown, Indiana. The property features a 151,306 SF tri-temp facility. The buyer was Ambrose, and the seller was Delco Foods. The Colliers deal team included Alex Cantu, Alex Davenport, Jeff Devine, Steve Disse, Tyler Ziebel, and Rachel Patten.

LEASE SIGNED: Smith Commercial Property Group leases cold storage in Miami. Smith Commercial Property Group has facilitated the leasing of 24,679 SF at 501 Northeast 183rd Street in Miami, Florida. George Smith with Smith CPG represented the landlord, Reich Bros., in the transaction. George Pino with State Street Realty represented the tenant.

DEVELOPMENT: RL Cold/BGO JV completes cold storage in Philly area. A joint venture (JV) between RealtyLink division RL Cold and BentallGreenOak (BGO) has received a certificate of completion for a 215,735 SF speculative cold storage warehouse at 907 Pleasant Valley Avenue in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. The facility features 27 dock positions and a 5,000 SF food storage mezzanine. The project is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025. RL Cold is led by Phil Wilson, Josh Lewis, and Zach Romano. BGO is led by Sonny Kalsi, John Carrafiell, and Amy Price.

DEVELOPMENT: Publix gets OK for $29M expansion in Jacksonville, FL. Publix Super Markets has received permission to build 2 additions to its freezer warehouse at 9800 West Beaver Street in Jacksonville, Florida. The extensions will include 41,205 SF of produce space at 35°F and 15,391 SF for boxed meat at 28°F and will cost a projected $28.8M. The company has also submitted a proposal for a $5.112M renovation of its existing warehouse, bringing the facility to a total of 537,587 SF.
