ACQUISITION: Reich Bros. buy Miami area cold storage for $10.5M. Reich Brothers has acquired 7856 Ellis Road in Melbourne, Florida. The property features a 69,142 SF cold storage and warehouse distribution facility. The seller was Downtown Produce. The Reich Bros. deal team was led by Sam Reich. Jose Montero with The Hype Real Estate Group brokered the sale. Michael Moss and Michael Moss II with Lightle Beckner Robison are marketing the property for lease.

ACQUISITION: Vertical Cold buys cold storage facility in Savannah, GA area. Vertical Cold Storage has acquired 220 Nordic Way in Pooler, Georgia. The property features a cold storage facility totaling nearly 350,000 SF. The Vertical team is led by West Hutchison.

ACQUISITION: GWE brokers sale of cold storage in Amarillo, TX area. Gaut Whittenburg Emerson (GWE) has facilitated the sale of 10300 US Highway 60 in Canadian, Texas. The property features a 7,200 SF industrial building with 2,500 SF of cold storage/freezer space on 1.35 acres. Gabe Irving with GWE negotiated the deal.

DEVELOPMENT: Cold Link to build $85.5M warehouse in Lumberton, NC. Cold Link Logistics will build a 233,000 SF cold storage warehouse on 55 acres in the Southeast Crossroads Industrial Park. There is potential to expand the site to up to 750,000 SF. The industrial park is located just southeast of the junction of I-95 and I-74. The Cold Link team is led by Michael Mandich.

DEVELOPMENT: Americold to build new facility in New Brunswick, Canada. Americold Realty Trust plans to build its first import-export hub in Canada at Port Saint John in New Brunswick, Canada. The facility will connect Americold with DP World’s maritime logistics and Canada Pacific Kansas City’s (CPKC) rail service. Americold will invest between $75M and $80M on developing the 22,000 pallet-position facility. The Americold team is led by CEO George Chappelle.
