PARTNERSHIP: Americold and CPKC to explore cold storage in Mexico. Americold Realty Trust and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) plan to explore new co-development opportunities in Mexico to enhance cold chain logistics. This expansion is part of an ongoing collaboration that aims to streamline temperature-sensitive commodity flows between Mexico, the US, and Canada. Americold plans to invest as much as $1 billion over the next 5 to 10 years in projects with CPKC and another strategic partner, DP World. The CPKC team is led by Keith Creel. George Chappelle leads Americold.

DEVELOPMENT: Arcadia opens $87M cold storage facility in Jacksonville, FL. Arcadia Cold Storage & Logistics has opened a new facility at 9765 North Main Street Drive in Jacksonville, Florida. The 32.37 acre property features a 310,922 SF warehouse with 44,060 pallet positions and a temperature range of -10° to 38°. Chris Hughes leads the Arcadia team.

DEVELOPMENT: Eskimo Cold opens freezer addition in Gainesville, GA. Eskimo Cold Storage has opened its second facility at 3001 Athens Highway in Gainesville, Georgia. The expansion features a 225,000 state-of-the-art facility with a 2-part freezer system. The addition complements Eskimo Cold’s existing 250,000 freezer warehouse. The Eskimo Cold leadership team includes Steve Williams and Karen Reece.

DEVELOPMENT: FCL completes cold storage facility in Phoenix, AZ area. FCL Builders’ Cold Storage team has completed a 212,000 SF cold storage facility located in the Peoria Logistics Park located at the northwest corner of West Northern and 75th Avenues in Peoria, Arizona. The facility features an ambient warehouse as well as refrigerated and freezer space. The FCL Southwest team is led by Brandon Perdue and Ardian Dema.

PEOPLE MOVES: Cold Storage Recruiting seeks a cold storage facility CEO. Cold Storage Recruiting is hiring a CEO for an undisclosed cold storage and food distribution industry leader. The position is based in Omaha, Nebraska, with a relocation package for the right candidate. Job requirements include 10+ years of leadership experience in the cold storage or related industries.
