DISPOSITION: JLL sells Cleveland area cold storage facility for $8.4M. JLL has facilitated the sale of 6575 Davis Industrial Parkway in Solon, Ohio. The property features a 100,000 SF distribution center with both dry and cold storage. Joe Messina and David Stecker with JLL represented the seller, Chase Properties, in the transaction. The Chase deal team included Rob McGovern, Yoel Mayerfeld, and Holden Milstein. Mark Truesdell and George Stevens with CBRE represented the buyer, Conexus Foods.

ACQUISITION: CenterPoint buys cold storage facility in Ft. Worth, TX. CenterPoint Properties has acquired 15277 Heritage Parkway in Fort Worth, Texas. The property features a 103,803 SF multi-tenant cold storage facility that was fully leased at the time of the transaction. Rives Nolen led the CenterPoint deal team.

DEVELOPMENT: Newark gives green light to Garden State Cold Storage facility. The city of Newark, New Jersey, has approved Garden State Cold Storage’s (GSCS) plans for a 156,000 SF automated cold storage facility at 474 Wilson Avenue. GSCS has already secured a lease for the 7 acre property with the help of Advance Industrial Group. The upcoming project will include 124,000 SF of refrigerated and freezer warehouse space, as well as 28,000 SF of loading areas.

DEVELOPMENT: STRO and KRE Group to build cold storage in Parsippany, NJ. The STRO Cos. and KRE Group are preparing to break ground on a 65,000 SF industrial building with cold storage at 3 Century Drive in Parsippany, New Jersey. The 5.01 acre site was previously home to a vacant office building. The partners expect to deliver the facility in September. Tom Consiglio and Scott Peck with Resource Realty of Northern New Jersey, along with Gabe Millstein of STRO, will market the property for lease.

INDUSTRY NEWS: SeaCube buys Martin Container. SeaCube Cold Solutions has acquired Martin Container, which provides portable cold storage containers in the Western US. Through the acquisition, SeaCube will boost its presence in Arizona, California, and Nevada, while the Martin Container team will have access to SeaCube’s fleet and technology. The SeaCube deal team included James Armstrong.
