DISPOSITION: Cold storage facility in Columbus, OH sells for $75.7M. ARIS Charter Street LLC has acquired 2865 Charter Street in Columbus, Ohio. The property features a 179,000 SF cold storage facility developed by Crawford Hoying. Matt Orgovan and Terry Coyne with Newmark assisted with the transaction. The Crawford Hoying deal team was led by Nelson Yoder.

ACQUISITION: Carson Warehouse buys cold storage in LA area for $52.45M. Carson Warehouse Corp. has acquired 1055 Sandhill Avenue in Carson, California. The property features a 127,775 SF industrial building that the company intends to adapt for cold storage. Ryan Campbell with NAI Capital Commercial represented Carson Warehouse in the transaction. Frank Schulz and David Prior with The Klabin Co. represented the seller, Rexford Industrial Realty. The Rexford deal team was led by Michael Frankel and Howard Schwimmer.

DEVELOPMENT: FreezPak opens cold storage facility in Jacksonville, FL. FreezPak Logistics has opened a new cold storage facility at 8730 Somers Road South in Jacksonville, Florida. The facility totals 272,400 SF and has capacity for more than 50,000 frozen and cooler pallet positions. The opening marks FreezPak’s 2nd operational facility in Florida and its 14th nationwide. FreezPak is led by Dave Saoud.

DEVELOPMENT: CSW completes expansion in Milwaukee, WI area. Central Storage & Warehouse (CSW) has finished the expansion of its facility at 12725 4 Mile Road in Caledonia, Wisconsin. The expansion adds 15,000 new frozen pallet positions, bringing the facility to more than 334,000 SF. The CSW expansion team included Hill Hamrick.

PEOPLE MOVES: Vertical Cold Storage appoints new Chief Commercial Officer. Vertical Cold Storage has welcomed Jim Henderson to its executive team as Chief Commercial Officer. Jim’s previous experience includes roles at New Orleans Cold Stroage, Consolidated Grain and Barge, Intl. Shipholding Corp., and Tropical Shipping. He has more than 15 years of experience as a temperature-controlled supply chain professional.
